AGENCIES

The first tab in the AGENCIES window, by default, contains a list of prominent microstock photo agencies, referred to as MICROSTOCKS.
You can add/delete any agencies that you choose.
First, set up agencies by entering your information such as USERNAME and PASSWORD.
To enter agencies settings, you need to highlight the name and click on the EDIT button. A window will then be shown that contains the following information:

PORT: This is the port for FTP servers and is set by default to 21. Generally, you don’t need to change it. (This feature could be needed if an agency were to announce a port change.)

INITIAL DIR: This is the folder is on the FTP server of the agency where your photos are uploaded. By default, it is set to “/” and is the root folder. You don’t need to fill it out.

DESCRIPTIONS: This is an optional field, and can be used for your convenience to contain any information you choose.

MAX CONNECTIONS: This is the number of maximum connections that are allowed by the FTP server. Servers often put a limit on connections to increase productivity and avoid hacker attacks. If a server allows, for example, 3 connections from the same IP-address, then this field needs to be set to 3. This will enable the program to run 3 connections for uploading at the same time, which will increase the uploading speed and save waiting time.

Connection Settings
The CONNECTIONS tab has the following parameters:

READ TIMEOUT: This is the time period in seconds, showing the disconnection time when trying to read the data from a server.

SPEED LIMIT: This is a menu that shows three possible connections speeds for uploading data to a server: WITHOUT LIMITATIONS, LOW TRAFFIC, and HIGH TRAFFIC. The last two can be set manually by entering the uploading speed in bits per second.

PASSIVE MODE: If this feature is checked, then it will work, as indicated, in a passive mode. The FTP protocol uses 2 ports; the first is for administration; the other is for uploading data. Passive mode is a work mode in one open port. Change this only if you are an advanced user.

PROXY SERVER: This is a system that is between the attachments and the connection to a server. The check box connects the settings of a proxy-server. Change this only if you are an advanced user.

General Settings
This tab enables you to customize the program. Its parameters are as follows:

MAXIMUM ERRORS ALLOWED PER FILE: If the file is uploaded incorrectly the number of times specified in this field, then the program stops trying to upload the file, and marks it as COULDN’T UPLOAD.

MAXIMUM ERRORS ALLOWED PER SERVER: During the process of uploading files to a server, when the number of errors received has reached the number specified in this parameter, plus one, then the program disconnects from this server, and marks it as COULDN’T UPLOAD.

WAIT AFTER ERROR FOR (SEC): This is a period of time in seconds that the program will wait after an error has occurred, before it will try again.

TEMPLATE FOLDER: This parameter shows the location of the folder with templates on your hard drive.
SCALE PREVIEW: This is the file quality setting for preview.

SAVING DATA AUTOMATICALLY: This is the period of time (in minutes) that it takes to save data. This feature helps to prevent data loss in case of an accident such as computer freeze, electricity failure, etc.

DELETE SUCCESSFUL SESSIONS: If this parameter is checked, then all successful sessions will be deleted automatically.
